Unusual mid 1800 porcelain matchholder and srill vase, Staffordshire, England, gnome figure sitting by tree trunk with holes for holding spill and a barrel for holding matches, decorated florals and a strike mat on base. An unusual transition piece with use of matches as well as spill twists.
