This is a wonderful example of a bronze Pi from the Warring States period of ancient China. A Pi was a weapon used as both a spear and a dagger or sword. This particular example is very large and very heavy. It weighs 482 grams and measures just under 40 cm. At the midrib it is just over 0.8 cm thick. It has very nice blade bevels. The hilt has two protrusions that likely aided in hafting to a handle or pole. There are some minor nicks along the edges but overall the piece is in very good condition with no signs of repair. Don't miss this chance to add such an exquisite and rare piece to your ancient weapons collection. « Less

This item was purchased from the estate of the late John Piscopo as a decorated bronze axle hub from the Warring States period of ancient China. I have not seen an axle hub before with a form like this one. There is no place for an attachment pin. According to Mr. Piscopo's records, it was purchased from Tony Allen in the year 2000. It is a very unusual piece. It measures roughly 6 cm in height and is approximately 6.5 cm across at the widest part. There is a heavy patina but the metal is solid and stable. Don't let this rare piece go to some other lucky collector. « Less

This is quite an interesting bronze dagger axe. Judging by the design, it is probably from the early Warring States period. It has a five character inscription on the nei that appears to be authentic. It measures roughly 19.5 cm in length and is intact with no repairs. I have examined this piece carefully and fully guarantee its authenticity. However, should you decide to purchase it and you have any doubts after examining it first hand, I will refund the purchase price with no questions asked for a period of 30 days. After that time, my standard lifetime guarantee of authenticity on the piece will apply. This piece was part of the John Piscopo collection. I spoke personally with Mr Piscopo regarding this piece and he too was certain that the inscription was authentic and original to the piece. Please feel free to email with any questions. « Less

I have too many bronze arrowheads to post separately so here is another group. These are all from China and date from as early as the Western Zhou (circa 700 BC) to as late as the Han period (circa 200 BC). Each of these is a great specimen for collecting, for study, or both. Inquire for individual prices. I will certainly sell them as a group at a discount - just email me with offers or requests. « Less
