Circa 1905, the back plates feature an anthemion at the top and the bottom, surrounded by volutes and intricate foliate detail. The door knobs feature a looped border intertwined with leaves. These sets are in excellent condition with a beautiful patina. The plates are 2 ¼” wide and 8 ½” tall, and the doorknobs are 2 ¼” wide and approx. 2” deep. This is a delightful antique cast iron door hardware set by P. & F. Corbin, in the “Piccadilly” design from their 1905 catalog. The set includes the door knobs, plates, and mortise lock. The knob features an elegant six-fold design with a flower in the center, surrounded by a graceful foliate border. The flower motif is repeated on the top of the backplate, which is also ornamented with flowing leaves and vines and shows Art Nouveau influence. The lock is signed by Corbin. This set is in excellent condition with a nice patina and with some white paint on the lock (which will not be visible when installed). Each doorknob is 2 ¼” in diameter and 2” deep; the backplates measure 2” by 7”. The faceplate of the mortise lock is 6 ½” by 1”. NDKS25-RW   « Less

This doorknob set features unusual oval knobs ornamented with shells, beads, and acanthus; the oval backplates feature the same elegant design. This door hardware is in excellent condition. The knobs measure 1 5/8” wide, 2 5/8” tall, and 2” deep; the plates are 2 ½” by 7”. Each hardware set consists of a pair of doorknobs with the connecting rod and two plates. These are three unusually large antique window locks, dating from the 1880’s and made of cast iron with cast bronze handles. Each lock is ornamented with an abstracted vine pattern, and the knobs feature a pinwheel design. The keepers or catches for the latches are ornamented with a delicate vine design.
