Antique English lay down perfume bottle made of cut glass and sterling silver. Birmingham, 1901. Measures 9 1/4 inches long. Cylindrical, flattened lay down bottle. Sterling silver and early American cut glass lay down perfume bottle, by Tiffany & Co. Made in America, late 19th - very early 20th century. Measures 7 1/8 inches long. Beautiful, deeply cut glass, gives the hand quite a massage when held. The neck is encased in sterling silver with a hinged lid. No stopper. The rounded lid has a very pretty engraved monogram, which could be ALB. The silver is hallmarked Tiffany & co STERLING. Engraved marks under the glass are worn and we can barely make out a few numbers. Condition is good. Exceptional Webb cameo art glass perfume /scent bottle with sterling silver cap. Made London, England early 1880''s by Thomas Webb & Sons. Monumental 11 inches long. More »
Exceptional Webb cameo art glass perfume /scent bottle with sterling silver cap. Made London, England early 1880''s by Thomas Webb & Sons. Monumental 11 inches long. Flattened elongated oval form. Yellow glass with white overlay carved in magnificent fuchsia pattern with butterflies. Flowers in full bloom and in bud, and beautifully carved foliage. A number of butterflies flutter around the bottle. Round sterling silver cap. Original glass stopper. Gilt silver neck. The quality of the carving and it''s detail is exceptional. The white glass has a buttery feel about it. Although the name Webb does not appear, the butterflies are their signature mark and there is absolutely no doubt that they produced this bottle. The butterflies were often used in lieu of the company name spelled out. The silver cap and the gilt silver neck are both hallmarked with lion (sterling standard); leopard (for London), date letter I for 1884-5; Queen''s head facing left; and maker''s mark, which appears to be FBM (FRM?). Condition is excellent. No chips/cracks/damage/restorations of any sort. Previous owner: Acquired from Alan Tillman Antiques, London, England (1977). One of the largest lay down bottles! Status: For Sale Reference#: 3234 Condition: good Year: 1880 Title: WEBB ENGLISH CAMEO GLASS PERFUME BOTTLE 1884 SILVER « Less

Signed Thomas Webb & Sons cameo art glass perfume / scent bottle with original silver top. Made in England, 19th century. Measures 5 1/2 inches high. Bulbous bottom with More »
Signed Thomas Webb & Sons cameo art glass perfume / scent bottle with original silver top. Made in England, 19th century. Measures 5 1/2 inches high. Bulbous bottom with very long, thin neck ending in a silver collar with matching silver bulbous stopper, attached by a silver chain. The 3 layers of cased glass have been carved in a beautiful, delicate floral pattern. The colours are shades of white: cream, buttery yellow and iron red. The latter used as highlight and outline. The combination of the light colours looks like carved ivory. Beautiful dog roses and buds, clearly showing a strong Japanese influence in the treatment of delicate branches, blossoms and foliage. A ring of little flowers enclosed in double bands near the top. Colour of the underlying layer of glass seems to change from light sunshine yellow to a brighter/darker shade as it goes up the bottle. Raised glass signature THOMAS WEBB & SONS. Condition is very good. No chips/cracks/damage/restoration of any sort. Status: For Sale Reference#: 3229 Condition: good Year: 1880 Title: T WEBB CAMEO GLASS PERFUME BOTTLE CARVED IVORY « Less

Exquisite antique gold mounted, cut glass or crystal perfume / scent bottle with engraved gold mounts and lid. Comes in original fitted box / case. Made in France, 19th century. Bottle measures 4 1/2 inches. Case is 4 3/4 inches. Perfume bottle made of fabulously cut glass, possibly crystal. Widens towards the top. Stands on a narrow, petite base, mounted in a gold band. Panels of starbursts, in graduating size, according to the width of the bottle, seperated by very deeply cut, faceted borders. The shoulders are encased in a gold mount that entirely covers the tapering neck, leading to a hinged, elongated bulbous lid. The gold is finely engraved with foliage and has a delicate filigre border. Inside is original glass stopper, in unusually good condition. Gold is hallmarked on each area: the base, the shoulders, the lid. Overall condition of both glass and gold is very good. The perfume bottle comes in it''s original, fitted box/case, in form, reminiscent of a mummy''s sarcophagus. The inside has one velvet and one silk side. The latter finished off with a finely twisted cord. The outside is original leather. Sturdy metal hinge. A metal hook holds it closed. The case is in good condition.
