Victorian perfume bottle in blue cut cased glass with repousse sterling silver hinged lid. 19th century. Similar bottles made in England, France and Bohemia. Measures 3 1/4inches high. Beautiful blue over clear glass. High quality, deep cutting. Neck and hinged lid are chased sterling silver, unmarked, but certainly silver. Original glass stopper stuck in neck. Good condition. Czechoslovakian perfume / scent bottle with intaglio carved figural group. In original fitted box. Made Bohemia late 19th century. Measures 5 1/4inches high. Unusual, flattened and faceted shape of bottle. Good quality, thick, transparent glass. The faceted stopper is intaglio cut with an 18th century Watteau style scene of courting lovers, sitting on a flowered grassy patch and holding hands. The same stopper is shown on page 32 of ''Czechoslovakian Perfume Bottles and Boudoir Accessories'' J Jones-North et al. The front of the bottle has an original lable in embossed gold with red and green, reading: O''SHANA Reg CAPE BLOSSOM. Comes in original box with delicate gilt clasp. The inside has a silk lined lid and the fitted bottom is dark blue velvet. Good condition. Perfume / scent bottle chatelaine in silver gilt, richly chased and jewelled. Made in France circa 1860. Measures slightly under 1 3/4inches high, excluding the chain. Round, mine-shaped perfume bottle in gilded silver, the entire surface richly chased with scroll decoration and set with protruding stones. These may be decorative only, but they look like real turquoise & garnets and the stone set in the top of the screw-on cap is amethyst in colour. Chain and finger ring attached. Good condition. Handpainted enamel metal mounted porcelain perfume / scent bottle chatelaine with chain and finger ring. Portrait of a child shepherd in flower / garden setting. Made in England, early 19th century. Measures a little under 3 1/4inches in height. Diameter is approx 2 1/4inches. Outstanding handpainted enamel: birds in a woody landscape, surrounded by beautiful roses / carnations and foliage. Long-tailed and fantastically plumed and coloured exotic birds. The other side has a young shepherd boy, possibly a religious figure or a child in heaven, depicted floating on clouds and praying. Red glass insert with mechanical cover, engraved ''Ortner & houle St James Street, London. Set in gold-coloured metal with chain and finger ring. No hallmarks. Condition is good. On the left hand, near the roses, if you look very closely, you will see a negligible flaw where the porcelain is held by the metal. Pair of jewelled copper over glass perfume / scent bottles. French or Czechoslovakian, probably date to early 20th century - Arts and Crafts period. Each bottle is approx 5 3/8 inches high. Hexagonal body on 4 ball feet. Glass is mounted in copper. Each copper panel is set with deep blue stones (deeper than in the ''photos) and alternating panels with applied openwork shield decoration. Rim of copper is set with a ring of blue stones. The surface is handhammered/tooled. Bottom of copper mounts differs: one has snake-skin texture while the other has a raised floral decoration. The glass narrows sharply to a long, faceted neck, ending in a gold band and rim. Faceted stoppers. Condition: generally very good. There are some minor chips on the stoppers and the gilding has very slight wear, but is in superior condition considering it''s age. Deep ruby glass faceted for added lustre, ending on either side with a sterling silver (unmarked) lid, one of which twists off and one being hinged. Silver with repousse decoration. Antique Pair of engraved crystal and silver perfume / scent bottles with Repousse openwork cherubs and putti and cherub putti finials. European, 19th century.5 3/4inches high.Bulbous pumpkin lobed glass bodies with hand-engraved scrolls and foliage. The base and neck are covered with 800 silver mounts, rich repousse flowers, foliage and cavorting putti / cherubs. The corked stoppers/lids have matching silver tops with waving silver cherub finials.Engraved .800 mark with a flower on one bottle. Condition is generally excellent. Negligible wear to the silver on the stopper bottoms - magnified in the photos. No chips/cracks/damage of any sort to the glass.
