Victorian, circa 1860 Pair Staffordshire hunter and huntress modeled standing, wearing ermine cloaks, holding guns. Hunter has a stag lying at his feet. Huntress has a black and white spaniel jumping up at her side. Dull gilt decoration and base line. Good. Slight rubbing to gilt to both. Hunter: Some paint losses to orange cloak. Kiln effects: shrinkage crack to lower base edge at front and one behind stag''s neck; a piece of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to orange cloak. Retouching to trouser stripes and boots. Huntress: Tiny flake to her nose. Kiln effects: shrinkage cracks to lower base edge at front, dog''s neck and reverse. Restoration of left foot. Retouching to dog. 12.25ins high
